Operatives of the Nigerian Military are on high alert in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, over a reported planned attacked by Boko Haram terrorists and bandits.

A security report gathered by the Army on Tuesday, November 2, suggested that terrorists were planning to invade the Nigerian capital through the Abuja-Keffi expressway, to carry out attacks.

The development is coming barely 24 hours after bandits invaded the University of Abuja, abducting staff members of the school and their families.

Troops have therefore been placed on high alerts and deployed to strategic positions, mounting security checkpoints to observe, repel and arrest suspects.

Photos seen by Daily Report Nigeria show that heavy roadblocks have been mounted at all entry and exit points into the capital city by troops.

The soldiers are also conducting stop and search operations on specific vehicles and passengers on the highways.

Motorists, especially those who live along the Abuja-Keffi expressway in areas like Kugbo, Karu, Jokwoyi, Orozo, Karshi, Nyanya, Mararaba, One-man village, Masaka, among other satellite towns, are finding it difficult traversing the road as a result of roadblocks mounted by soldiers.
