Mrs Ademiloye Felicia and her son, Adewumi, were arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command for sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to the command’s spokesperson, ASP Abutu Sunday, who revealed this in a statement on Monday March 21, the victim, a 15-year-old girl, left home for an extra moral lesson in preparation for her WAEC but did not return home, which was unusual for her.
The victim’s parents later reported a missing daughter case to the police, but all efforts by the police and her family members to find her were futile.
“However, on 15/3/2022, that is about three three(3) years later, the victim’s mother received a credible information about her daughter’s whereabout. She then alerted the Command’s Juvenile Welfare Center (JWC) of the State CID who then swung into action and traced the missing girl to the house of one Mrs Ademiloye Felicia,” the PPRO stated.
“The victim was immediately rescued, and Mrs. Ademiloye Felicia and her son, Adewumi Ademiloye, were apprehended for further investigation.”
According to the investigation, Adewumi Ademiloye lured the victim into his mother’s house on that fateful day and drugged him.
The victim stated that after taking the drugs given to her by Adewumi Ademiloye, she couldn’t remember going home. She stated that she is now a drug addict as a result of the amount of drugs she consumed over the course of three years.
According to the victim, Adewumi Ademiloye had a series of sexual encounters with her and has given her to various men on numerous occasions when he lacks funds.
These men had sex with her and paid Adewumi Ademiloye between ten thousand and twenty thousand naira (#10,000 to #20,000).
Further investigation revealed that the victim is approximately 8 months pregnant but has not registered with any Health Care Center or visited any hospital for Antenatal Care.
Adewumi Ademiloye confessed to the crime during interrogation and will be charged in court alongside his mother for conspiracy to wit abduction, rape, and child exploitation.
Meanwhile, the victim has been transported to the Ekiti State Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Ado Ekiti for medical treatment.
