The Jigawa State police have arrested 70-year-old Adamu Garba and Haruna Musa, 35, for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.
The police spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Ahmad, made this known during a press release to newsmen.
He stated that the arrest was due to a report made on November 15, by Aminu Sule of Gangare Qtrs B/Kudu LGA, who stated that on the said date, he observe his grandmother’s husband having carnal knowledge of his younger sister.

It was also gathered that while the investigation was still going on, the victim said that while she was hawking, one Haruna Musa also called her into his house, pretending to be buying yam and had sex with her.
Shiisu further said the victim has been transferred to the sexual assault referral center Dutse for medical evaluation and the suspects have been apprehended.
According to a police official, the investigation is ongoing and soon the suspects will be charged to court.
