A woman has been arrested, following a disturbing video of her assaulting her baby.

According to reports, the woman is said to have assaulted her infant daughter, with a stick.
Operatives or the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have arrested a woman for assault.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting her 10-month-old infant daughter in Temberere Village, Zimunya, Mutare.

Confirming the incident, the police forced revealed that the woman, 30 was said to have committed the act while attempting to force the little girl to crawl.
The police revealed that the woman was arrested following circulation of a disturbing video on social media.
The police said,
“The ZRP confirms the arrestof a 30-year-old woman for allegedly assaulting her baby (10 months) with a stick at Temberere Village, Zimunya, Mutare on 11th October 2024,”
“The incident came to light after a disturbing video went viral on social media, showing the woman brutally attacking the child while ordering her to be quiet and forcing her to crawl.”

Meanwhile, child protection agencies have been notified and are expected to provide support for the victim and necessary intervention.
