Afrobeats singer and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has revealed that he will be contesting for the presidency in an African country.

The award winning music star made the disclosure in a video message, where he reflected on his growing passion for public service and leadership.

Mr Eazi, who has built a successful career in both music and business, said his move into politics is not influenced by the usual quest for wealth or power. Instead, he emphasized that his goal is to serve the people and contribute to the progress of society.

In the video, delivered in his trademark lighthearted tone, Mr Eazi explained that Africa needs leaders who are young, energetic, and forward thinking.

According to him, the continent deserves a president who prioritizes development and the welfare of the people above personal gain.

“I have been thinking about it, and I think it’s time to share it with you guys,” he said. “Some of you might be from some countries in Africa and you are looking for a president; a president who is not looking for money and power but forward-thinking, young, active and can move your country better. So, I’m officially putting myself forward for the presidency.”
