My Re-election Was Destined By God To Serve Edo People

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has said that God ordained and approved his re-election so that his administration can continue to pilot the affairs and development of the state.

This was disclosed by the Governor during a thanksgiving service organized by the Edo state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), to appreciate God for making his re-election victorious along with his Deputy, Phillip Shaibu.

“I must thank God for what he has done not only for me and my colleagues but for the people of Edo State.

“There is no doubt we would not have been here without the support of the Almighty and the people of the state,” the Governor said.

Governor Obaseki also thanked his Deputy for being steadfast, truthful and honest in spite of the danger and various threats posed to him and his family.

He commended respectively the judiciary, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), his party (PDP), and Edo people for all their roles in his re-election.

Speaking during the thanksgiving service, the Edo State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Oyonnude Kure, affirmed Obaseki’s re-election as ordained.
