NAFDAC Gets New Acting DG, Monica Eimunjeze

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has gotten a new Director General.

Dr Monica Eimunjeze has taken over as Acting Director-General of the agency following the expiration of Professor Mojisola Adeyeye’s tenure.

A senior staff in the agency(name withheld), confirmed this to newsmen on Thursday evening.

The source said:

The most senior director, Monica, took over. But we have not had a meeting with her because it happened this evening.”

However, the agency’s Resident Media Consultant, Sayo Akintola, was yet to comment on the development as he did not take his calls or respond to the text message sent to him as of press time.

Adeyeye was appointed the DG of NAFDAC on November 3, 2017, by President Muhammadu Buhari.
