Naomi Campbell, the renowned British supermodel, has been banned from serving as a charity trustee in the United Kingdom for five years.
This decision comes after a UK watchdog discovered that funds from her charity were misused for luxury spa treatments and hotel stays.
The UK Charity Commission, which oversees charities in England and Wales, conducted a three-year investigation and revealed that only 8.5% of the charity’s total spending from 2016 went towards charitable grants.

The commission’s findings indicated that some of the charity funds were used to cover Campbell’s expenses at upscale hotels, spa services, and even cigarettes.
In response to the investigation, Naomi Campbell expressed her shock during an interview with AP, stating,
“I just found out about the findings today, and I am extremely concerned. I wasn’t in control of my charity; I entrusted that responsibility to a legal employer.”
