Naira Scarcity: I Bought 40k Cash With 70k – Paul Okoye

Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye AKA Rudeboy has shared his experience on the present cash scarcity rocking Nigeria.

Taking to his Instagram story, the singer revealed that he needed money to take care of a visa fee which must be done in cash.

According to him, he paid seventy thousand naira to receive forty thousand naira in cash.

Shocked by his experience, the singer concluded that Nigeria was breaking new records.

The scarcity of new naira notes has become a major cause for concern over the past few weeks.

It reportedly led to protests and unrest in some parts of the country, including Benin, Warri, Ibadan, and Ondo State.

One of the major challenges caused by the naira scarcity was the outrageous price some Nigerians have to pay to get their money in cash.
