Napoli interim coach Francesco Calzona is optimistic about Victor Osimhen’s imminent return to form, as reported by DAILY POST.
Osimhen netted for the second game in a row during Napoli’s 1-1 draw against Cagliari on Sunday evening.
Having recently rejoined the club after about a month of international duty, the 25-year-old striker demonstrated his scoring prowess once more, following his goal against Barcelona in Calzona’s debut match.

“He was only tired,” Calzona told DAZN via Football Italia, when asked about Osimhen’s performance.
“Victor is a fantastic guy. He scored two goals in two matches and will slowly get back in shape.
“Don’t forget he played at AFCON. Players are devastated when they return. He was tired also against Barcelona, but players always want to stay on the pitch.”
With eight goals in 14 Serie A appearances this season and one goal in five UEFA Champions League outings, Osimhen continues to be a key asset for Napoli.
