The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) recently completed and commissioned a crucial electricity infrastructure project in Ondo State.
The project included a 132KV transmission line and a 132KV/33KV substation situated in Okitipupa Local Government Area (LGA).
Reports stated that the infrastructure is expected to provide reliable electricity to more than 2,000 communities across five Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the Ondo South Senatorial District.

Notably, the beneficiary communities encompass Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Okitipupa, Odigbo, and Irele.

The newly operational substation is poised to greatly improve power supply to these communities, thereby supporting the growth of small and medium-scale industries, fostering job creation, and catalyzing overall development in Ondo State.
By aligning with the Federal Government’s initiatives in the power sector, this project underscores NDDC’s commitment to empowering communities and driving progress in the region.
