NDDC: Former Delta Guber Candidate Calls For Disbandment of Interim Committee

A former gubernatorial candidate in Delta state, Alaowei Afro Biukeme has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to “disband” the Expanded Interim Management Committee (EIMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Biukeme who contested the governorship election in Delta state under the Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP), further called for a substantive board to be constituted as soon as possible.

Biukeme who spoke with Nation in Abuja, revealed that a protest against the EIMC from Abuja to Port Harcourt, Rivers State is on the horizon.

Buikeme questioned the rationale behind the Federal Government’s decision to still keep the committed despite squandering an additional N9 billion in August, apart from the controversial N81 billion.

He vehemently called for the total dissolution of the Interim Committee without further delay.
