Wilfred Ndidi made a comeback for Leicester City in their recent Sky Bet Championship match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Leicester secured a 1-0 victory, keeping their hopes of promotion alive. Ndidi had been sidelined for over two months due to a muscle injury.
His last appearance for Enzo Maresca’s team was in December 2023 against Cardiff City, where they won 2-0. Against Sunderland, Ndidi came on as a substitute for Yunus Akgun in the 72nd minute.

Despite receiving a yellow card in the 90th minute, Wilfred Ndidi return bolstered Leicester’s midfield. He has scored twice in 22 league appearances for the club this season.
Another Nigerian, Kelechi Iheanacho, also featured in the match, replacing Jamie Vardy in the 78th minute.
