The Netherlands will host Qatar in their final group-stage match.

The Oranje can secure their place in the World Cup knockout rounds on Tuesday while ending Qatar’s run in the competition without a point.

Netherland

The Netherlands opened their tournament with a 2-0 success over Senegal on November 21, which placed them in a brilliant position to book their spot in the knockout stage heading into their second game with Ecuador.

Qatar became the first team to crash out of the 2022 World Cup last week and has largely failed to turn up in the tournament.

The hosts did give a good account of themselves against Senegal but will be up against a formidable test in this match.

Kick-off – 16:00 G..M.T
Venue – Al Khor Stadium.
Team news

Netherlands boss Van Gaal has several decisions to make when it comes to his starting side for Tuesday’s contest with Qatar.

Memphis Depay has now featured twice off the bench in the tournament, as he builds his fitness following an injury, but the Barcelona attacker could come in for a start here.

As for Qatar, Mohammed Muntari’s goal off the bench against Senegal could earn the forward a spot in the starting XI here.

Abdulaziz Qatar’s also made a positive impression as a second-half substitute last time out, so it would not be a surprise to see him come into the side on Tuesday.

Netherlands possible starting lineup:

Noppert; Timber, Van Dijk, Ake; Dumfries, Berghuis, F de Jong, Blind; Gakpo; Bergwijn, Memphis

Qatar’s possible starting lineup:

Barsham; Miguel, Khoukhi, Hassan; Mohammad, Hatem, Madibo, Al-Haydos, Ahmed; Ali, Muntari

Odds/predictions

The Netherlands are big favourites to get the job done in this match and come away with all three points at 1/5 (1.20) with bet365.

Qatar is a massive underdog to win this game at odds of 14/1 (15.00) while the draw is priced at 6/1 (7.00).
