The new Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Muhammed Ali Ari, has warned criminal elements to hibernate from the state or be dealt with according to the law.

CP Muhammed made the declaration while speaking with newsmen in Lagos, shortly before departing for Asaba, the Delta state capital.

The new Police Commissioner specifically warned kidnappers, armed robbers and oil thieves to turn a new leaf, while urging them to surrender their illegal arms to the nearest police station or be made to face the wrath of law.

He said: “I will not condone any form of criminality in the state. I advise the criminals, especially kidnappers, armed robbers and oil thieves who are economic saboteurs to repent and turn a new leaf or hibernate from the state.

“Otherwise, we will apply the full wrath of the law on them.”

He also he appealed to traditional ulers to cooperate maximally with the police to curb insecurity in the state.

CP Muhammad Ali Ari was a Deputy Commissioner of Police for operations in Lagos state. He was recently promoted to Police Commissioner by the police force.
