Nigerian heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba secured a split decision victory over Italy’s Guido Vianello at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Sunday morning. Judges scored the match 96-94 in Ajagba’s favor twice, while Vianello earned a score of 94-96.

In the ring, Efe Ajagba, 29, displayed his dominance, particularly during the middle of the bout. However, he faced a formidable challenge from Vianello in the closing rounds, requiring Ajagba to bring his best to maintain control.

This win marks Ajagba’s fifth consecutive victory, further solidifying his unbeaten streak. With a record of 20 wins, including 14 knockouts, and only one defeat, Ajagba continues to establish himself as a force in the heavyweight division.

Born in Delta State, Nigeria, Ajagba has showcased his talent on both the amateur and professional stages. His amateur accolades include winning the gold medal at the 2015 African Games and securing bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
