The Nigeria Police Force have arrested popular crypto billionaire and businessman, BLord.

BLord was reportedly arrested on Tuesday, July 16 in Abuja for his alleged involvement in Internet fraud, among other allegations.

Speaking during an interview with Punch, the spokesperson of the Force, Muyiwa Adejobi said BLord was arrested due to petitions against him and his company, adding that the police will thoroughly investigate the matter.

“Yes, we have him with us. The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited, and Billpoint Technology.

“These offences include allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.

“We will do due diligence in our investigation. Our cyberspace must be safe and secure by all means. We are committed to achieving that.”

Muyiwa also denied allegations that the petitions were laid by popular Internet critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
