1. Sunday Igboho Reveals Plot to Kill Him

Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Igboho has alleged that there is a plot by the Nigerian government to eliminate him.

The activist, who is currently in detention in the Benin Republic also alleged that the Nigerian Federal Government is working with their Benin Republic Counterparts to extradite him back to the country.

2. Osun State PDP chairman Suspended

The acting chairman of the Osun State PDP, Mr. Wale Ojo has been suspended by a faction of the party loyal to Chief Adeleke.

Ojo’s suspension was premised on the conclusion of an executive meeting on Tuesday.

3. Abaribe Joins Abia Gubernatorial Race

The lawmaker representing Abia South Senatorial District, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, has declared interest in the 2023 governorship ambition in the state.

4. Herdsmen Kidnap 7 Holidaying Residents in Enugu

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have reportedly kidnapped seven residents of Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The victims had traveled home for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

5. Police Accused me of Sponsoring Insecurity

Uche Nwosu, the son-in-law of Senator Rochas Okorochas, has revealed how he was accused of sponsoring crime in Imo State by the police.

Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to Rochas was arrested on Sunday at the St Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama Obieri in the Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state.

He has since been released unconditionally and spoke for the first time, explaining everything that happened.

7. Power Rotation To South Not Against Constitution – Masari

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has said that power rotation to the southern region of the country is not unconstitutional.

Masari said a power shift to the south will not in any way violate the constitution of Nigeria.

He stated this during an interactive session with journalists at the State Government House, on Tuesday.

Garba Shehu, spokesman for President Muhammadu Buhari has explained the decision to withhold his assent from the Electoral Act.

10. SERAP to Sue Buhari Over Planned N2 Trillion Loan

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has revealed plans to sue President Muhammadu Buhari administration over its plan to borrow a fresh N2 trillion.

SERAP made the announcement via a post on its official Twitter account.

“We’re suing President Buhari and his administration over yet another plan to borrow N2 trillion despite the N33 trillion debt burden facing Nigeria,” the tweet partly read.
