The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that there is no plan to resume international flight operations at the moment.
Following the inception of COVID-19 outbreak in the country, international and domestic flight operations had been grounded by President Muhammadu Buhari over some months now.

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, through his official media handle said that domestic flights would however commence from July 8, 2020. Lagos and Abuja airports are also to resume operations on the same date.

According to Sirika, four other airports including Kano, Owerri, Port Harcourt and Maiduguri are to resume flight operations from July 11, while other airports will follow suite on July 15.
However, there are currently no plans to resume international flights operations from the country.
The Minister also assured on strict adherence of the protocols outlined by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the World Health Organization, from passenger facilitations to flight operations.
