Nollywood Mourns the Loss of Veteran Actor Emmanuel France

Veteran Nigerian actor Emmanuel France has passed away. Filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe confirmed the news on Instagram, expressing sorrow over the loss and reminiscing about their work together.

Ogedengbe shared, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France. We shot three movies together in 2006: She Is My Sister, The Director, and Cross My Sin. R.I.P.”

The cause of France’s death has not been disclosed. His passing comes shortly after the death of Nollywood actor Big Larry.

Since January 2024, Nollywood has mourned the loss of several notable figures, including Mr. Ibu, Junior Pope, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi’ Oyeyemi, and Amaechi Muonagor.
