Controversial street-pop artist Portable has apologized after a recent incident where he slapped a pastor who came to preach at his bar.

The singer, who was caught on camera striking the pastor, has since faced criticism from both the public and other religious leaders, some of whom have threatened to take legal action against him.

In a video posted late Monday night, Portable sought forgiveness, explaining that his actions were driven by past experiences rather than a direct attack on the pastor’s intentions.

He expressed regret, stating, “My fans, the issues in my community are different from those on the street. I didn’t realize the pastor was genuine; otherwise, I wouldn’t have reacted this way. I’m a child of God too, and I’m not perfect. I’ve been hurt by similar situations in the past.”
