Ahead of the resumption of commercial flight operations in the country, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has appealed to non-travellers to stay away from airports.

While announcing this through its media handle today (Wednesday), the authority enjoined persons coming to pick up arrived travellers to remain in their car until the travellers exit airports premises. The authority noted that it was part of the new protocols ahead the reopening of flights after several months of closure due to COVID-19 outbreak.

It also urged travellers to arrive at airports three hours before flight to ensure proper check up, and maintaining at least two meters distance from each other. Furthermore, they are to ensure the use of face masks.
