‘Nothing Will Change My Mind,’ Wike Stresses on Prefered Presidential Candidate

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State Governor, has said that no amount of abuse would change his mind about his preferred presidential candidate for the 2023 election.

According to the former presidential aspirant, his mind has already been made up on who to support, adding that activities by detractors does not bother him.

The Rivers State Governor said this on Wednesday at Egbeda Community while kicking off of the construction of Akpabu-Egbeda-Omoku Link Road in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.

Wike wondered that some people who cannot not command a measly twenty-five votes were criticizing him over his stand on the presidential poll, stressing that there will be dire consequences for such people.

He said:

“If anybody likes, say what you want to say that I am working for so and so person, it’s their business.

“Say that I am not working for so and so person, it’s their business.

“That will not make me change my mind about where we are heading to. Do you understand me?

“So, if they like, they can make speculations. After all, that is why the word, speculation is there.

“Some of them, who do not have 25 votes are busy abusing leaders. When you finished abusing leaders (us), you will pay.”
