Okubama family members have called for justice over the alleged extra-judicial killing of their brother, Tamarakuro Okubama by Police officers attached to Rainoil Petrol Station, Ebrumede Delta State.
Elder Sister to the deceased, Mrs Ronnie Ukavbe alongside her siblings disclosed that they are no longer comfortable with the way and manner authorities of the Ebrumede Police Division are handling the case.

The family members also alleged that they received a call from the Divisional Police Officer of Ebrumede Police Division, inviting them to settle the case out of court even after watching a CCTV footage which proved that their brother, Tamarakuro Okubama was beaten to death by the Police Officers attached to Rainoil Petrol Station Ebrumede.
They also alleged that the results of the autopsy conducted at Central Hospital, Warri on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, revealed that the deceased was beaten to death as there were blood clothes, and other bruises on the corpse.
The family members stated that all they wanted was justice for their brother who until his unfortunate demise, was undergoing safety training after having returned from the United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile, the leadership and members of the Center for the Vulnerable and the Underprivileged, CENTREP, a human rights organization have vowed to ensure that justice is done.
The deceased, Tamarakuro Okubama, aged 46 was married with three children and is suspected to have been killed by the police officers attached to the named Petrol Station, and the corpse was deposited at the mortuary in Central Hospital, Warri.
The Police in Ebrumede had earlier alleged that the said deceased was beaten to death after a mob attacked him for stealing a car battery.
As of the time of filling this report, the Delta State Police command is yet to make an official statement on the case.
