Super Eagles centre striker, Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of Nigeria’s friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia slated for October 9 and 13 respectively, in Austria owing to COVID-19 restrictions put in place by Napoli.

This was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation via it’s official Twitter handle on Sunday.

This is in line with Napoli’s announcement that players and staff were in isolation and would not travel for their international fixtures.

The NFF stated it had invited Paul Onuachu in replacement of the 21-year-old Osimhen.

“@victorosimhen9 has been excused from @NGSuperEagles’ games against Algeria and Tunisia. His replacement is Paul Onuachu. #Team9jaStrong #SoarSuperEagles,” it tweeted.
