Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, is considering taking legal action against Napoli after the Italian champions posted a video “mocking” the player on their official Tik Tok account.
According to the player’s agent, Roberto Calenda, the move by the club is not acceptable and could force his client to take legal action.
Many Nigerians on social media have been left disappointed with the video which was hurriedly deleted by the club’s social media handlers.
The now-deleted video mocked the Nigerian striker for missing a late penalty in Napoli’s 0-0 draw against Bologna on Sunday.

In a statement on Tuesday, Calenda said, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted
“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”
Osimhen, who joined Napoli from French Lille Metropolin 2021 for a club-record fee of €70 million, guided the club to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season.
He scored 26 goals to finish top scorer of the league.
