The immediate Past Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, has extended heartfelt congratulations and prayers to Senator Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark on his 97th birthday.
In a statement on Thursday, Otuaro praised Clark’s extraordinary contributions to Nigeria, from his early days as a teacher and lawyer in the Niger Delta, to his impactful roles as Commissioner for Education and Finance in the defunct Bendel State, Federal Commissioner (Minister) in Lagos, and Senator of the Federal Republic.
He lauded Clark as a “defender of the oppressed” and a pivotal political figure in the South-South geopolitical zone.
The statement reads, “Sir, I reflect today on your achievements and deserved appointments to exalted offices where you offered patriotic services to the Nigerian nation.
