Oyo 2023: Governor Makinde wins PDP Governorship Primary

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, has picked the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party.

At the primary held at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Wednesday, the governor polled a total of 1,040 delegates votes to defeat his rival, Mr Hazeem Gbolarunmi who had two votes.

The returning officer, Ben Obi, represented by Abdullahi MaiBasia, declared Makinde as the party gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State.
