A civil servant named Ronke Mary Adeleke, who is employed at the Oyo State Ministry of Lands, has been sentenced to one year in prison for engaging in corruption.
DAILY REPORT NG reports that the conviction, which was obtained by the Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency (OYACA), was handled by Magistrate Taiwo Oladiran at Chief Magistrate Court 1 in Iwo Road, Ibadan.
Earlier, the commission had investigated a case submitted against Adeleke by a victim from whom she frauulently collected the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Naira (N600,000.00).

The magistrate on Friday, also ordered that the convict refund the said money to the victim within a month, and She has since been handed over to the officers of the Nigerian Correctional Services, NCS.
