Oyo Police Confirms Killing of Ibadan socialite

Oyo State Police command has confirmed the killing of a popular Ibadan socialite, Mr. Teslim Akinpelu by gunmen on Saturday.

Police confirmed that the deceased, also known as Gatuso, was killed by four armed robbers in a hotel around Iyaganku area of Ibadan.

The Public Relations Officer of the States Police command, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi, in his reaction, confirmed the killing of the socialite.

Fadeyi added that DPO of Iyaganku had commenced investigation into the matter.

He said that the armed robbers pretended to be lodgers before carrying out their evil intention.

Fadeyi said, “Teslim Akinpelu, aka Gatuso was shot dead by 4 armed men at Town hotel NTC Iyaganku at about 0045 hrs.

“They pretended to be lodgers before carrying out their evil intention.

“Investigation has commenced into the matter by DPO Iyaganku.”
