PDP Begins Digital Membership Registration Nationwide

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the commencement of its nationwide digital membership registration exercise.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, who said the exercise will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will last for three weeks.

According to the statement, the registration exercise is aimed at compiling a digital membership register in compliance with the Electoral Act 2026, which requires political parties to submit verified membership records to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The party’s National Working Committee approved the exercise across all wards in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Registration will take place daily, except Sundays, at ward, chapter and state party offices nationwide, while special cases will be handled at the party’s national secretariat.

The PDP also announced that a special committee headed by the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Daka Shan, has been set up to supervise the exercise and address complaints.

Members and interested Nigerians were encouraged to visit the nearest PDP office within their wards to participate in the registration exercise.
