The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed being in talks for a merger or amalgamation with any political party or interest.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba clarified in a statement following the party’s 587th National Working Committee (NWC) meeting on Tuesday in Abuja.

While welcoming former members and all Nigerians to join the party, Ologunagba stressed the PDP’s strength and capability to win elections in a free and fair process.

He pointed out the ongoing party membership drive, which has seen millions of Nigerians join the party across the country, solidifying its position as the party of choice for the majority.
