The Labour Party has hired about twenty Senior Advocates of Nigeria to challenge the results of the February 25 presidential election.
According to the party, it has equipped the lawyers who were drawn from different chambers with materials that would be used as evidence in court on behalf of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Recall that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu was announced winner following last Saturday’s polls.

Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the LP flag bearer, who got 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 votes respectively.
He was thereafter crowned president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
However, Atiku and Obi rejected the results. Each of them claimed at separate press conferences that the election was fraught with violence and massive rigging.
Both hence approached the court to seek legal redress on the matter.
