Hip-hop producer Pharrell Williams has expressed his frustration with American celebrities publicly endorsing political candidates ahead of the presidential election.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Williams revealed that he avoids political involvement and is often irritated by celebrities who publicly endorse candidates. “I don’t do politics. In fact, I get annoyed sometimes when I see celebrities trying to tell you [who to vote for],” he said.
Pharrell Williams further commented that many celebrity endorsements seem unnecessary. “There are celebrities that I respect who have opinions, but not all of them. I’m one of those people who thinks, ‘What the heck? Shut up. Nobody asked you,’” he added.
