Ruth, the sister of former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna, has sadly passed away following an accident involving a Dangote truck a few days ago.
The news was shared on Instagram by the SUG president of Auchi Polytechnic, who posted a photo of Ruth with “RIP” and crying emojis.

Phyna had previously called out businessman Aliko Dangote and the Dangote Group, alleging that the company instructed the police to remove the truck’s license plate after the accident.
She expressed her frustration, noting that wealth does not equate to divine power.
In response, the Dangote Group issued a statement pledging full support to Ruth, including comprehensive medical care and proper compensation. Phyna criticized the statement, pointing out the irony in wishing her sister a “speedy recovery” after her leg had already been amputated, and she also drew attention to the critical condition of a bike rider involved in the crash.
Fans and followers have since poured in condolences, mourning the untimely death of Ruth alongside Phyna and her family.
