Police Arrests Car Thief Caught In Lagos | Daily Report Nigeria

Operatives of the Lagos State Police command have arrested a car thief in Lagos.

According to reports, the man, identified as Monday Julius, 39, was caught in the Oshodi Area of Lagos state by officers of the Ilupeju division of the command following investigations of the stolen car.

According to a statement related by the command, the suspect allegedly stole a Toyota Yaris car, and was caught in the act of disassembling it to sell it parts.

The statement, released Monday, August 26, reads, “Officers of Ilupeju Division while investigating a report about a Toyota Yaris Saloon Car that was removed from where it was parked, arrested one Monday Julius ‘m’ aged 39 at Oshodi.

 

“The suspect had however begun to disassemble the car to sell in parts as he could not sell it whole. The vehicle has been recovered and investigation is ongoing.”
