The Borno State Police Command has confirmed the discovery of a man’s body near a transformer within the University of Maiduguri campus.

Initial investigations suggest the unidentified individual may have died while trying to tamper with electrical installations.

Police spokesperson ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso noted that officers, assisted by fire service operatives, removed the body and transferred it to a hospital for medical checks.
Commissioner of Police Naziru Abdulmajid urged members of the public to shun such dangerous crimes, emphasizing that acts of vandalism threaten both lives and public safety.
