The National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) of the Nigeria Police Force conducted a raid on a counterfeit currency ring operating from their hideout in Garki II, Abuja.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of one suspect, Muhammed Zenabdin, while other members of the gang managed to escape.
On Tuesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi stated that Zenabdin was found in possession of suspected fake $100 bills, totaling $100,000.
The law enforcement group also seized sophisticated counterfeit detection equipment, passports, mobile phones, and a luxury vehicle.

According to Adejobi, the suspect provided crucial information that will aid in the apprehension of other gang members during interrogation.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court once the investigation is complete.
