Reports reaching this paper stated that the Plateau State Police Command has sealed off the state’s House of Assembly complex.
According to reports, the sealing was due to the speakership crisis in the state.
It was said that the house was divided into two factions respectively for the current speaker Yakubu Sanda, and the reinstated speaker Ayuba Abok who was impeached in October 2021.

Recall that the court had reinstated Abok on Monday who later stormed the complex to take charge of the Assembly on Tuesday.
The development revealed that a team of anti-riot policemen arrived at the Assembly complex in early hours of Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
The operatives barricaded the main entrance to avoid further access.
