Buhari Commissions Yobe Multi-billion Naira Airport | Daily Report Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned the multi-billion naira Yobe international cargo airport in Damaturu.

Buhari who arrived in the state from Yola was accompanied by President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Minister of Power Abubakar Aliyu, and governors of Yobe and Borno States among others.

The airport was named after the president —President Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport, Damaturu.

He said:

Today, we are commissioning the Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport. The international cargo airport connects North-East States, which makes it a critical component of our national economy.

“This international cargo airport has been built to the highest quality of design and workmanship and if properly used, will last for the designed service life.”

Findings revealed that the airport was one of the legacy projects lined up for commissioning on Monday, January 9, 2023.

The Governor Buni administration has executed other projects that were waiting to be inaugurated by the President.

Buni’s administration would also inaugurate an estate with over 3, 000 houses, four modern markets, and a 300-bed capacity maternal, newborn and child health complex, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
