Eddy Megwa, Director, Press and Public Relations of the of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has dissociated the body from an advertisement going viral on social media sponsored by khaki_corper asking prospective corps members to pay N50,000 for some listed items which they will need in camp.

In a statement signed by Eddy Megwa, Director, Press and Public Relations of the NYSC, the body made it known that it has no hands in such an advertisement, describing it as another attempt by some individuals to extort parents and their wards mobilised for the Clarion call of their hard earned money.

The statement reads: “We once again seize this opportunity to inform our prospective Corps Members and their parents that all required kit items, feeding, accommodation and other welfare packages required during orientation are provided free of charge by the Federal Government,”
