President Buhari Congratulates Super Falcon After Qualifying For 2023 World Cup Competition

President Muhammad Buhari has congratulated the Nigerian Female National football team, Super Falcon for qualifying for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Recall that Super Falcon defeated Cameron with a score of 1-0 in the quarter-final during the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to qualify for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

In a statement released by the president’s media aide, Femi Adeshina, Buhari congratulated Super Falcon for their excellent performance, adding that Nigeria is strongly standing with them and will continue to cheer them on until the last game in Morocco.

The president prayed that they will surpass their previous achievement at the 2019 Women’s World Cup, adding that he looks forward to the next generation of upcoming football stars, who will one day win the World Cup for Nigeria through hard work, discipline, resilience, and determination
