Presidential Candidate Asks Buhari To Stop Tinubu’s Swear-in, Handover To Osinbajo

Victor Vishnay, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Alternative Party(DAP) has asked President Buhari to Stop the swear-in of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Vishnay also called for the cancellation of the presidential election and told Buhari to hand over to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

According to Vishnay the electoral process that produced Tinubu as the president-elect on February 25 was characterised by many irregularities and fraud.

He added that the 2023 polls did not meet acceptable international standards, as such, the DAP Presidential Candidate invited Nigerians to support his argument.

He said:

“I enjoin Nigerians to call on the president to cancel the 2023 general election, especially the presidential election because of corrupt practices.

“We need change, real change, the fight for a better Nigeria starts with the cancellation of the election. It was not free and fair.”

Vishnay went on to suggest that the President could set up a committee to manage the country before his retirement on May 29.

He said:

“So, the only way out is for the president to cancel the election; he should give reasons for the cancellation and step aside. The Vice President can take over or he will set up a committee to manage the country after his exit.”
