Both petitions have Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as respondents.
The adjournment of the APP’s petitions is to allow the party issues to be determined by the Tribunal.
The APP presidential candidate, Simon Nnadi, and his party are praying for the tribunal to disqualify the president-elect, Bola Tinubu on the grounds that he is not qualified to contest in the election.
On the other hand, Obi and the Labour Party are seeking the tribunal to determine that Tinubu failed to score one-quarter of the votes cast at the Presidential Election in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and was not entitled to be declared and returned as the winner of the presidential election held on 25 February 2023.
