President Bola Tinubu on June 19, retired all service chiefs that were appointed by his predecessor, former President Muhamadu Buhari.
The move was announced by Willie Bassey, Director, Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in a statement on Monday night.
The sacked service chiefs were:
Chief of Defence Staff.

General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea Irabor (born 5 October 1965). He was appointed on 26 January 2021.
Chief of Army Staff.
General Faruk Yahaya (born 5 January 1966). He was appointed on 27 May 2021.
Chief of Naval Staff.
Awwal Zubairu Gambo (born 22 April 1966). He was appointed on 26 January 2021.
National Security Adviser.
Mohammed Babagana Monguno (born 1957). He assumed office in 2015.
Chief of Air Staff.
Isiaka Oladayo Amao (born 14 September 1965). He was appointed on 26 January 2021.
Inspector General of Police.
Usman Alkali Baba (born 1 March 1963). He was appointed to replace Mohammed Adamu who retired from Nigeria Police Force in February 2021. He assumed office on Friday, June 4, 2021.
Tinubu had vowed to ensure the safety and security of the nation in his new administration.
