Prosecute Corrupt Public Officials, Not Yahoo Boys– Peter Obi | Daily Report Nigeria

Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP’s presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections has stated that Nigerian disciplinary system should focus on prosecuting corrupt public officials and not alleged internet fraudsters.

The former Anambra State governor while conversing with Nigerians on an airplane, declared that such practice needs to change.

He stressed that it was wrong for security officials to arrest young boys carrying laptops under the suspicion that they are Yahoo Boys.

Obi again expressed disappointment over news of the Accountant-General of the federation, Ahmed Idris who was arrested for allegedly embezzling N80bn, and was remanded in prison.
