A heavy protest has erupted in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State after a tricycle (Keke) rider reportedly stabbed his male passenger to death.
Sources told our correspondent that the victim, an Epie indigene and the driver had an argument over a N50 change in the state’s capital.
While in the middle of the altercation, the Keke rider brought out a “poisoned” dagger and stabbed the “father of four” to death.

According to the source who pleaded anonymity, angry youths at the scene immediately attacked the suspect and set other tricycles ablaze.
Residents have hence blocked major roads in the city to express their anger.
As of press men, operatives of the Bayelsa Police Command had arrived the scene in a bid to quell the uproar.
