PSG vs Riyadh Season Ticket Sold For $2.6m

A fan eager to see the PSG vs Riyadh Season clash was tasked to cough out a whooping $2 million for a single VIP ticket.

Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain will square off against a selected team from Al Hilal and Ronaldo’s new club, Al Nassr in an encounter billed for the King Fahd International Stadium on Thursday in Riyadh.

A special “Beyond Imagination” ticket for the match was auctioned off by the Saudi government’s entertainment arm, with the winner presented the opportunity to meet both players, as well as access to the team’s dressing rooms and a trophy award.

The bidding started at $260,000 but eventually rose to $2.6m before closing on Wednesday.

The money raised will reportedly be donated to charity according to sources.

Thursday’s match in Riyadh could be the last time the football greats will share a pitch together.

The two players, considered among the greatest of all time, last featured in the same game during Barcelona’s 3-0 defeat to Juventus in a UEFA Champions League encounter in December 2020.

This fixture will also mark Ronaldo’s first match since signing a mega-contract worth over $200m a year with Al Nassr.

The 37-year-old, who left Manchester United in December last year has been made to wait for his debut following a two-match ban handed down by the English FA after being found guilty of destroying a phone of an Everton fan in April 2022.

He is set to make his competitive debut when Al Nassr takes on Ettifaq on Sunday.
