The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday held the Black Stars of Ghana in the first leg of their FIFA World Cup play-off.

The match which held at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, saw both teams fail to live up to expectations.

Nigeria had a penalty overturned in the second half, following a VAR review and played second fiddle to the host, who dominated most parts of the match.

The Eagles had the best chance of the game through Moses Simon, who blasted straight at the Ghanaian keeper with an open net at his mercy.

Both teams will go into the second leg slated for the the refurbished Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, on Tuesday with everything to play for.
