Randy Waldrum hopes to continue managing the Super Falcons of Nigeria despite facing intense criticism following the team’s poor performance at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Super Falcons, nine-time African champions, lost all three of their group games against Brazil, Spain, and Japan in the women’s football event. They managed to score just one goal while conceding five.
Despite these setbacks, Randy Waldrum expressed his desire to remain in his position and lead the team into the next Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking to ESPN, he said, “I would like to stay on. I love the team and the direction we’re headed. After a rough start here, I think we’re moving in a good direction. There’s a lot of upcoming talent as we start to transition some of the older players out and bring in new ones.”
